EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

“Mold”
Have you ever had a problem with mold? If so, you know how fast it can grow. We have this cement walkway outside our front door. Fortunately, it gets a fair amount of sun. Our neighbor’s walkway, on the other hand, gets a lot of shade from some trees nearby causing theirs to get very moldy quickly.
Sin can be like this. When it is kept “secret” and in the dark, it grows and thrives. But when it gets exposed to “light,” it can clear up. Scripture tells us in James 5:16 (NIV), Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayers of a righteous person are powerful and effective. And in 1 John 1:9 (ESV) we read, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
In Romans 3:23 (NIV) it says, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, so none of us are exempt and therefore we need not to hide. Jesus knows we cannot do life on our own and we will fall into temptation. We need Him. He will provide a way out if we call on Him. And He can forgive us and make us new if we call on Him.
If you are struggling with sin and cannot seem to overcome it, reach out to a trusted friend or someone on the WWL prayer team. You will be able to find freedom and healing and be cleansed so you can thrive in a good way and live the life you were created to live.
There are no secrets when it comes to God. He created us and knows our every thought. So when we come to Him, He isn’t surprised. He knows just what we need and is the great provider and healer. But we must confess. Don’t settle for a life of darkness. Life is so much greater in the light. He is the light of the world. John 8:12  (ESV) says, Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
