EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“No Excuses”
Do you consider yourself a generous person?
Being a giving person is not difficult, there are many ways in which any of us can give.
Many want to give, but few take action to do so. Excuses are always so interesting. We can make so many excuses as to why we are not giving, but to God, they are just that-!- Excuses!
Some serve with time in their communities while some may give a small bit of change or food to the homeless man on the street. Some can pay it forward in a car line for fast food and while there are many ways to help in this world with generosity, are you counted in as a giver?
I have a great and easy way you can help if you’d like to give. We could use more people that would share a “gift” of Voice of Truth magazine with the gospel message of Jesus, to a hurting sister. All you have to do is give a donation and pay it forward.
God tells us in His word to ” Be doers of the word and not hearers only.” (James 1:22) please step out in faith to do what God commands. May your heart be touched to give.
Our actions can be the most effective ways we can be generous and give Jesus to a  world in need.
Giving is a part of generosity. Give of yourselves in as many ways God calls you to do.
People will tend to shy away from talking about giving because they feel uncomfortable and don’t want to feel they are pressuring or begging for money, but the Bible teaches us the importance of the need. By talking about it openly we can encourage one another to help and give.
As we feel blessed in our life, may we all want to do our heart part and give back to God. Unfortunately, some just don’t give nor do they care, but it still leaves the needs for another to fulfill! If we all had that type of attitude, God would have no faithful ones to fulfill the needs of others.
We are instructed to give to God and His work. We can do this in many ways.  Through tithes, offerings, and through our time and our talents. We all have these endless resources because we are God’s kids. He is our provider. Think about this with God and please pray about your part.
The Bible says,
“Blessed are those who are generous,  because they feed the poor.” ( Proverbs 22:9)
God looks after your needs but He also is looking after the needs of others. Did you ever think He might use you to fill the direct need of another? He could!
Be obedient to give of your first fruits to God, meaning, He doesn’t get the leftovers, ( if there are any).
God should be FIRST in each and every portion of time and money that comes into your life. God expects it!
Give joyfully because the Bible says, “God loves a cheerful giver.”
It’s can be a tough subject to talk about but in obedience, I share about it. Between you and God only, it is Him that will nudge you as you read and direct you as to where to give. Release your generous portion that belongs to Him anyways. Please, keep the subject matter in your hearts, praying about it to God continually. Ask Him what’s next God? Where do I give next? And watch the floodgates of heaven open once you have and possess a generous heart.
Be guided by God, giving out of obedience to His instruction.
