Trust and Obey
Sweet Woman of God,
What a joy it is to celebrate the beautiful ways God’s Word and promises are reaching women around the world through Voice of Truth magazine!
As women of different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences come together, my prayer is that one thing unites us: a heart overflowing with Christ’s steadfast love, mercy, and grace.
God’s love for us is unending, and His promises are true. But our love for Him should be more than something we simply talk about. It should move us into action.
As God’s children, we are called to submit ourselves to His authority. When we truly believe Him, we desire to obey Him. And when we love Jesus, obedience becomes an expression of that love.
Salvation comes through faith in Christ alone. We cannot earn it through good behavior. But as we surrender our lives to Him, the Holy Spirit transforms our desires and teaches us to walk according to God’s Word.
Scripture reminds us, “Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him” (Psalm 128:1, NIV).
Throughout the Bible, we encounter ordinary people who trusted God and followed His instructions, even when they couldn’t see the outcome. Their stories remind us that faith isn’t merely believing God exists. It’s trusting Him enough to follow where He leads.
That is the common thread I pray you discover in these pages: Trust and obey God.
Trust is faith put into action. Obedience is evidence that we believe His promises. And when we surrender our own plans to His greater purposes, He can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ask or imagine.
May God’s extravagant love surround you today. May His Word comfort your heart, strengthen your faith, and inspire you to walk in joyful obedience.
Exceedingly, abundantly, beyond!
