EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How we “talk” to ourselves is critical to our ability to thrive in life. What is your brain telling you? I’m a big proponent of always staying positive for not only myself but those around me and any who know me. I tend to “get after” anyone that I know who may go to the negative side of life. I just encourage them.
When we tell ourselves, “I’m not going to get through this” it’s like we are telling our minds to stop working. We shut them down, think about it.
If you have troubles with continually thinking negatively, prayerfully ask God why your thoughts seem to go to the lamenting or complaints, hurt, or loss. Pray and ask God to speak into you so you can turn your ship around, it’s that easy. God hears every prayer as you turn to Him.
In the past, I’ve had heartbreak upon heartache and thoughts as to curl up in a ball… I just wanted to die to escape the intense hurt. I could choose to be negative over hurt or choose to get beyond the negative thoughts. I choose to be positive. How?
I renew my mind… I invite God into those deep places you go when your mind sinks with you going deeper and deeper into numbness, denial, or depression. God is the one who can get you out of negativity and into peace, comfort, courage. He gives us insight and wisdom. He will if you ask. He is ready to help you as you surrender your hurts to Him. It’s your first step to positive freedom… surrender it over to Him!
God wants you to be free where you are in this moment. It’s easy to make any situation negative for whatever reasons…(maybe it’s to get attention.) It’s easy to bring yourself down with negative thoughts and then bring others around you down as well. It’s a process to move forward and stay positive, but a process that can be done quickly.
Ask God to show you over and over what’s good, true, and right. Saturate your mind with these things and be ready for a newness of life and joy overflowing.
“Be not conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” ( Romans 12:2)
Also…Psalm 125:5-6 God keeps His promises to us, He is a promise maker. Why get negative ever when we have God and His word? In this scripture, it talks about the harvest you will carry in your arms, just plant those seeds of faith in the ground ladies. Be positive- God is in control. He has a plan for EVERYTHING! Including your life. No need to be negative.
God’s mercies are new every day!
