EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Our speech or what comes out of our mouths to others, is talked about in God’s Word. He has much to say about carefully chosen words, stressing both the power and responsibility of speech.

Your speech should encourage truthful, honest, and constructive communication and warn against harmful or destructive language.

Here are some scriptures you may want to pin on your wall if you struggle with your speech. Ephesians 4:29 says speech will encourage, inspire, and uplift others.

Colossians 4:6 suggests speaking with kindness and wisdom, knowing how to respond to each person.

Proverbs 6:17 commends honest and truthful communication.

Ephesians 4:29 also warns against allowing harmful or destructive language to come out of our mouths. Don’t do it.

James 1:19 cautions us against speaking impulsively without careful consideration.

The Bible emphasizes the power of words of our speech, both to build up and tear down.
It encourages speaking truthfully, kindly, and with wisdom. It warns us against harmful, deceptive, and destructive language. Please be aware of your daily speech.
