EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Today’s guest writer: Laurie Sammarco – Pembroke Pines, Fl.
(Isaiah 43:1-3)
“But now, This is what the Lord says- He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; You Are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, Your Savior.”
God knows our names. He knows everything about us. He knows the sins we repeat daily, and yet He still loves us and chases after us.
The relentless pursuit by God knows no end. He knows at some point our hearts will change. He wants to be there when that transformation takes place, to hold us close and welcome us home.
The Holy Spirit speaks our names individually because He wants that special “one-on-one” relationship with us. He wants us to know that we matter to Him.  He desires for us to personally communicate with Him. We can know of Him intimately, but until we take the time to talk with Him, we will not know the core of who He is and how He can change our lives.
The quiet time with God is important as it helps us draw closer to Him. The stillness helps us to look within and reveal the changes that need to take place so that we can grow and learn more about our capabilities. We can also learn our strengths and our purpose in life as we follow God.
We were meant for more than what we limit ourselves to believe. Only God is the One that can show us who we can become. He knows the outcome of our lives.
