EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
God has taken up residence inside each of us who have accepted Christ as our Savior. Do we live like it? Do we talk like it? Do we behave like we have the God of the universe dwelling inside our mortal bodies?
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
I shudder to reflect on some of my sinful actions when I called myself a Christian many years ago, yet lived for myself. My mind was focused on me and not on Who resided inside me. When true repentance came, and I turned from sin and confessed it for what it was, I was free. Freedom from the shame of sin, my focus on worldly things and wants changed because I know for a fact that Jesus is living inside me, and I have never wandered since.
I know now the quickest way to redirect my thoughts is to remember some of the sinful ways I hurt my Lord with my body and how much it took Him to forgive me—the cost of His Son, the free gift for me but the tremendous cost of the Savior.
I whisper His Name and quickly say I’m sorry, and forgiveness comes. He brings me back to love, light, peace, and joy within.
May all of our moments alive reflect time with God on the inside.
