EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
We need God’s covering. I know that I am under God’s umbrella of protection, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked out of that covering of protection long ago, and it got me into messes. It’s not that I meant to, but because of it, I found myself looking up, drenched with waters of consequences pounding on my face. As I reflect, I thank God He spared my life back then.
Just because we walk with the Lord, it does not make us immune to problems. We have daily choices to make to stay under God’s protection.
We may think we know God’s will for a situation, but we need to ask Him for His wisdom and guidance in every decision we make despite our own thinking. Don’t step out from under His umbrella covering by making your own choices and spiraling down a road that leads to sin. The sin takes hold, and if it’s not confessed, the enemy takes over.
The various choices, the things of God, can only be discerned in the spirit. Pray for His wisdom.  We need to pray to have His truth in our minds and hide His words in our hearts.
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)
We need to always ask God for His wisdom and His guidance through the power of the Holy Spirit living within us.
Someone living on an entirely “human level” rejects the revelations of God’s spirit, for they make no sense to him because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Don’t leave God outside of your life. Bring Him in!
~ Be in the word of God daily
~Acknowledge the Lord in everything
~Walk in reverence of God
~Listen to wise people
~Walk in obedience
~Be humble
~Love your neighbor
~Seek God first
~Pray for wisdom
~Confess your sin daily and keep communication with God open
Please pray for God’s wisdom. This will give you the ability to be confident in your choices. (James 1:5)
Please stay under God’s “umbrella,” His covering. There is no place more secure for our hearts to be than the peace of God when we surrender to fully trust His way.
