People will say, “If God is in control, sometimes it’s hard to believe that “hurtful things” can happen to you.”
Everyone has times of suffering, some to a greater extent than others. Unfortunately, it is unavoidable and inescapable, and often undeserved. Often times it’s difficult to comprehend what some are facing.
Look at Job, the man in the Bible who lost everything. He could have blamed God, but he didn’t. Instead, he trusted Him. Job suffered greatly, but because of his attitude, God brought good out of it. No matter what difficult time we go through, there will be a time when life is good again.
Don’t give up in the midst of great loss, disappointment, or failure. You might miss the greatest miracle in your life. Instead, praise God through it all. You will start to see the birth of something new and good; watch and listen. Praise God!
“At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”
(Job 1:20-21)
Without minimizing suffering, please pray and try your hardest to keep praising God through any difficulties that come your way. You have purpose through the storms you are facing right now, despite what you may feel! God will work all things together for good; it’s a promise in His Word, so trust Him. He promises, and His promises are true. His Word is truth. He holds you and never leaves you through it all. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
