EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“Hope”
Today I had to reassure someone with God’s word. She was given the news that didn’t leave much hope for her future. Although my heart was deeply saddened for her, I knew in a second I needed to speak life into the conversation she was having with me.
Our Hope doesn’t lie in someone else, our hope is in the Lord.
We need painful times of refining so we will know in the depths of our being (where most lies hide), that our hope is in the Living God who daily establishes His purposes for us.
Lies and darkness are everywhere around us, there is no hope there.
Despite what mere humans tell us, it is not the “tell-all” of a life. It’s not the end of a life either! Are they God? Our hope is not in people, financial provision, acceptance or popularity, a local church or particular ministry, or even a home finished to our liking. Our hope is not in a diagnosis or even a sentence placed on a life. Our hope is in the living, loving God who has our hand, our heart, and our dreams very close to His heart.
Our hope is in the Lord, Maker of heavens and earth. The power and majesty of our Creator who made all living things gives us hope that we can live for. His hope lies deep within us if we have trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

“Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1)
God!
“Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.” (Psalm 33:22)
God, our hope lies only in YOU!
