EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“Behold (Christmas song)”
I have a strange habit of talking to God a lot when I work out. A few years ago, just before Christmas, I found myself at the gym doing what I normally do and I heard the word “Behold” come into my mind. I knew it was God downloading a new song idea.
The lyrics were written between my sets on the leg press and then the melody came to me while on the stair climber.
Behold is based on Luke 2:10-11 KJV.
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this
day in the city of David a Savior, which is Crist the Lord.”
When I hear the word behold, I was able to imagine instantly something epic! Like a child on
Christmas Day,  the one thing they never thought they would ever get
happens to be sitting under the tree. I imagine it’s how people felt when
they heard the news that Christ was born.
Behold joy!
Behold hope!
Behold
the best thing ever that no one deserves but all long for!
Behold a Savior who
would one day bring freedom and forgiveness not to some, but to all who
choose to believe.
(John 1:12 NIV) “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his
name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
The birth of Jesus is a gift! Receive it and open it up! The birth of Jesus
gave us the right to become children of God, so free your heart before Him. Follow with your actions.
If you know the Lord Jesus, Christmas is no longer a day to just
open gifts which could be many you will never even use. It is a day to celebrate the gift
of a Savior, born to the world so that you personally might live and live abundantly!
(John 10:10 ASV) “… I have come that they may have life, and may have it
abundantly.”
Mall the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ pour out on you
abundantly this year as we behold the miracle of our salvation. Merry
Christmas!!!!! May you be blessed by this song.
Let’s get our worship on today…
