EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
We all could use some good news today. The greatest news we could ever hear has come from our Savior who has been anointed to enable us to live our lives to be more than conquerors. You could be that conqueror! You can be a Victorious woman learning from the greatest Teacher of all, Jesus Christ.
What news you listen to on television talk shows or in the news plays a part in whether you will have victory or loss in your life.
Luke 4:17 says, “He came to Nazareth and as his custom was he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and stood up to read.”
The Bible tells us “Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
As we receive daily news in the headlines, it is shocking, scandalous, and often full of fear. We can wonder why we feel anxious, angry, and afraid to wat h television. Why are we so depressed?
Think about this, the quality of what you hear is determined by who is sharing it. Who is sharing the news you listen to? Do you allow yourself to hear information from whoever is talking to you on television? Do you even care???
– What is their personal life like?
-Are they true and honest as a person in their private life? -How do you know if they are honest and upright?
-Do they follow Jesus and His Word?
Many of us are feeling the fear this world propagates. We are being shattered and battered from abuse and lies of others that can permeate our minds, bringing us news that’s not always helpful to listen to. We need to pause and re-group. Drink from the Living Water sisters. Be selective in what you listen to at home and wherever people are speaking out. The True Source of good news is the One source to receive news for our being.
May we all learn to read The Bible for the purpose it was sent. Let us follow the example of our Savior and listen to the good news and not the bad news others seem to thrive on while pushing it on us.
God’s news is GOOD NEWS and the GOOD NEWS of Jesus, it endures forever and ever because it is truth. God tells us Jesus is the way the truth and the life. Besides Him, there is no other way.
No other news should we be seeking other than the good news of Jesus Christ in all areas of what we listen to.
If what is being said is not factual in your life, you should examine it to understand if it’s beneficial for you to receive it. Remember Romans 10:17 today. Where does your faith come from?
