EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
I believe we all desire to be “free” from the bondage of sin. We murmur, we grumble we lament over our problems but how do we break free from the hold of sin? God tells us inside His Word.
” And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” ( John 8:32)
Have you ever wondered why we face the problems we are facing in today’s world?  Because we compromise the truth from God’s word. You won’t know the truth until you know where it comes from. If you work against truth, it works against you. Are you living by the truth of the word of God in your lives today or doing whatever you “feel” is right in your own eyes. What standard do you base your moral value on?
When you compromise truth with your upbringing, your cultural background your level of education, or maybe even your denominational affiliation, you are not considering God’s word as truth. It’s working against your mind. Everything else that surrounds you permeates your thoughts.
From page to page and line to line, there isn’t one thing that has not been proven pure and absolutely true inside God’s word but is it surrounding your heart? Our faith and what we believe are founded on God’s Word.
With this firm foundation of Truth, no matter what we face in front of us that may be questioned or if the world we live in says otherwise, we should not make exceptions or adjustments to what we hear each day.
Please, let us all examine ourselves to see that we are not taking a cowardly stance to be accepted, make it fit our own needs or make things easier in “our world” we live in by compromising Truth.
Examples we can look at might be: a believing college student hearing something profound while sitting under a professor that sways them. The professor says something that clearly is contrary to God’s word and the student knows it. They know deep inside because the Holy Spirit gives them a check that says “it’s dead wrong” but because of human intelligence, they go with the flow of the teaching in front of them, and before they know it their beliefs become distorted.
Maybe in a government situation, we can see them take a political position against the word of God and advance progressive movements, and then you just go along with what the crowd around you speaks so your accepted. For whatever your reasoning is to accept what is happening in your life, put it up against God’s truth. Will it stand when you stand in front of God? Do not take a cowardly position or lazy attitude and just accept it. Know the truth inside God’s Word and take a stand so you can be free from bondage that comes with believing in the lie.
You are a daughter of the most High God and you should know His truth. Read God’s word daily. God’s word is your lamp unto your feet and your light to your path. Read Psalm 119:105.
God’s word tells us we should KNOW the truth to experience true freedom.
