EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many times does the enemy throw up the past in our faces and tell us we are defeated?
If you’re anything like me, you have to fight this thought every day. Do you realize how powerful you were created to be? The bondage the enemy puts in our heads is not our lot in life! Your past does NOT define you! No way! God has given you POWER.
In the very first chapter of the Bible, God declares for all time our true identity, that we are made in His image and likeness, reflecting both the masculine and feminine aspects of God’s nature. (Look up Genesis 1:26, 27)
This is who we are. This is who we have always been, the image and likeness of the divine.
We do not need to slip back into our old habits of fear or hopelessness because Jesus paid the price to set us free, and He did so in every area of our life. Jesus defines us!
He has called us by His side to rule and reign with honor. We are beautiful in God’s eyes, and we are loved. We are wanted, and we are valuable. Woman of God, hold on to these facts!
In Christ, you’re a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). You become your true identity in Him. Loved and forgiven, you’re no longer condemned (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:7-9; Romans 8:1). Allowing guilt over the past to define you leads to spiritual crippling.
We are not our past. God has us in this present moment, and we are His. We are chosen, and we are free!
Release all of the shame of your past and remember who God is. Knowing God’s mercy places a crown upon your head. Hold on to that crown!
