So He said to me, this is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.” (Zachariah 4:6)
There have been many times in this ministry I have been afraid that I’d be unable to do what God has called me to do. There have been fantastic, huge hurdles to jump over, mountains to move, and the rough seas to cross. I’ve often felt like I didn’t have what it takes to move into the life that God has for me. Can you relate in any way? Have you felt this way in life? In accomplishing a task in which you know you were meant to do but not feel qualified to do it?
If you do-be grateful that you feel this way because it means you are humble and you would need to be dependent on God.
Rejoice if you feel inadequate to the task because it means that you’d have to depend on God to do whatever it is that’s in front of you. Your situation is different than mine and yours may be getting through a health crisis or a broken relationship or helping another through one. It could mean starting a new business venture. There could be so many “somethings” we feel unqualified to deal with.
Whatever yours may be and although it may be different than mine. God will help you.
“The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)
We don’t have to make our life happen, we don’t have to strive to figure out our purpose. God knows our purpose. God will guide us and illuminate our path as we look to Him in worship and praise. Not by might or power, but by His Spirit! Read the opening verse again.
