VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Miraculous Manna

From the outside, she appeared to have everything—a beautiful family, a log cabin, church involvement, ministry, and the picture-perfect Christian life.
But underneath that perfection lived something she couldn’t escape: guilt.

She tried to be good enough, wise enough, strong enough, and righteous enough. Yet hidden sin remained unresolved, and perfectionism became a covering for the shame she carried. Eventually, temptation entered the cracks. Sexual sin contributed to the destruction of her marriage, and afterward she searched for comfort in another relationship surrounded by extraordinary wealth and luxury.

But none of it could satisfy what her heart truly needed. Then, during a trip to Israel, everything changed. Standing near the garden tomb of Jesus, she sensed Him asking: Do you love Me? Do you trust Me? If you do, walk away from this lifestyle. Give Me your whole heart.
She did.

Repentance poured out, and grace rushed in. The woman in this story is Women World Leaders founder Kimberly Hobbs. Her story beautifully illustrates the difference between remorse and true repentance. Repentance isn’t simply feeling bad about sin or resolving to behave better. It is a change of heart that turns away from sin and toward the Savior.

“Repent, and turn from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall” (Ezekiel 18:30, NIV).

Kimberly discovered that neither good works, perfection, pleasure, nor wealth could offer what Jesus freely gives: forgiveness, freedom, and transforming love. Perhaps you have something hidden beneath your own carefully constructed exterior.

You don’t have to hide. Your sin is not greater than God’s grace. Come out of the garden of guilt and step into His garden of grace. There is freedom waiting at the feet of Jesus.
