VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Every Egg Is God’s Creation!

Many believers are praying for revival—a great spiritual awakening that brings people to repentance and into relationship with Jesus. But I’ve been wondering: If they come, are our churches ready to receive them?

Years ago, I entered a church expecting acceptance but instead felt judged because I didn’t look or act like everyone else. I knew I didn’t fit the traditional church mold, and eventually, I stopped trying.

Recently, God brought that memory back through a rather unexpected object: eggs. At 3 AM, He showed me two eggs—one raw and one hard-boiled. Both looked nearly identical from the outside, yet each was completely different within. Then I thought about freshly laid eggs—unwashed, covered in dirt and feathers, nothing like the clean cartons at the grocery store.

What if that’s how we see newcomers?

Someone walks through the church doors looking messy and unprocessed while rows of seemingly clean, polished “eggs” stare back. But here’s the truth: we’re all still being processed by God.

Romans 3:23 reminds us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (NIV).

God isn’t asking us to clean people up. That’s His job.
Our responsibility is to receive them, love them, protect them from unnecessary wounds, and help them encounter Jesus.

Revival may bring people who don’t look, smell, dress, speak, or behave like us.
Will we make room? Will we trust God with their transformation while allowing Him to work on our own hearts? Lord, give us more of You so we can become Your hands and feet. Help us hold all Your people with enough care to protect them—and enough grace to let You do the cleaning.
