VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Who Am I?

Who am I?

At some point, every one of us has wrestled with that question.

For years, I searched for my identity in all the wrong places. I looked to my appearance, my past experiences, other people’s opinions, and even my family history. Yet none of those things provided the lasting sense of worth I longed for.

As a child, I struggled deeply with insecurity and bullying. When asked to describe who I was, I didn’t know how to answer. Shame and fear had shaped my view of myself for so long that I couldn’t see who God created me to be.
Everything changed when I began to understand God’s love.

First John 3:1 declares, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”

That truth transformed my identity. I am not defined by my past. I am not defined by my mistakes. I am not defined by what others think of me. I am a daughter of God.

Psalm 139 reminds us that God formed us intentionally and wonderfully. He created each of us with purpose, value, and significance.
The world constantly tries to assign labels. It tells us our worth is tied to performance, appearance, status, or success. But God offers something far better.

He offers belonging.

Before you ever sought Him, He chose you. Before you ever called on Him, He loved you. Your identity begins and ends with Him. So if you find yourself questioning your value today, remember this simple truth: You belong to God.
You are His daughter. You are loved. You are chosen. And because of that, you never have to wonder who you are again.
