There Is Only One You
Walking along the beach, I found myself captivated by the thousands of seashells scattered across the shore. Each one was different—unique in shape, color, texture, and design. No two were exactly alike.
In that moment, God gently reminded me that His creativity doesn’t stop with seashells. It includes you.Jeremiah 31:3 says, “I have loved you… with an everlasting love.”
Just as every shell has its own story, God has intentionally crafted every detail of your life. Your personality, gifts, experiences, and even the scars you’ve collected along the way are all part of His beautiful design.
Sometimes we look at our broken places and wonder if we’ve lost our value. We compare ourselves to others and question whether we measure up.
But God never compares His masterpieces.
Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body… Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!”
A broken seashell is still beautiful. It still catches someone’s eye. It still tells a story.
The same is true for you.
God doesn’t discard His creation because it has been wounded. He treasures it. He restores it. He delights in it.
When life clouds your view of yourself, remember the seashell. You were not created by accident. You are wonderfully made. You are intentionally loved. And there is only one you.
The Creator of the universe designed you with purpose, beauty, and immeasurable value.
Rest in that truth today.
