Saving Young Girls’ Lives Through The Purity Project
Sometimes a Bible verse becomes real when we see it lived out before our eyes.
While visiting a remote village in Kenya, Matthew 25:40 came alive for me: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Standing among young girls who lacked access to basic feminine hygiene products changed my perspective forever.
Many girls in rural Kenya miss weeks of school each year because they do not have sanitary supplies. Some face shame, isolation, and hopelessness during menstruation. For many families, purchasing these products is simply impossible.
One heartbreaking story involved a young girl named Leah, who became overwhelmed by shame after bleeding on her school uniform. Her tragic story highlights the urgent need for both practical support and hope.
That is why The Purity Project exists.
Through donations and the work of volunteers, washable sanitary pads are distributed to girls in remote villages. More importantly, these girls receive education, encouragement, dignity, and the love of Jesus.
James 1:27 reminds us that pure religion includes caring for vulnerable children and those in need.
This ministry is doing exactly that.
As believers, we are called not only to hear God’s Word but to live it. Sometimes obedience looks like serving in our local community. Other times, it means standing alongside people halfway around the world.
Whether through prayer, giving, or serving, every one of us can play a role in bringing hope.
As I watched these precious young girls learn, laugh, and dream about their futures, I was reminded that every life matters to God.
And when we care for “the least of these,” we are serving Him.
