EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE

Facing Our Giants

David and Goliath:
This is a battle between a mean and rude giant and a young, kind shepherd boy. Goliath was a powerful warrior who felt invincible. He ridiculed David and wanted to destroy him. David was young and not even strong enough to wear armor. It seemed impossible that David could stand up to such a MONSTER.

But David didn’t let his size or lack of experience hold him back. Instead, he relied on his faith. He told Goliath, “You come with weapons, but I come in the name of the Lord. Today, God will help me defeat you.” David knew that the real strength came from trusting in God. Wow. How often do we use these same words when we are facing something hard?

And guess what? David’s faith led him to victory! He faced his giant and won, proving that with God on our side, we can have victory against the evil that tries to destroy us.
READ THAT AGAIN!

We all face giants in our lives… hard things, people, fears, and obstacles that seem too big to conquer. But like David, we can have bold faith and trust that God is with us, ready to help us overcome whatever stands in our way. It’s not about how strong or capable we feel; it’s about the strength we find in our faith and knowing who we belong to.

God’s got you, and He has me, too!

“You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day, the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down… For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.” ~ (1 Samuel 1)
