VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY:
Best Plan Ever
We each have plans and dreams for our lives. We picture what the future should look like and sometimes secretly think, God, if You would just follow my plan, everything would be perfect.
But God’s plans are always bigger and better than ours. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that He has plans to prosper us and not harm us—plans to give us hope and a future. Sometimes, though, receiving that future requires releasing something from our past.
It’s easy to reminisce about what used to be, especially when life changes in ways we never expected. But we cannot forget God’s faithfulness. He has rescued us again and again. The same God who formed a highway through the sea for His children is still able to make a way where we cannot see one.
When I was younger, I imagined a “perfect” life for myself. My life today looks entirely different from what I pictured.
Maybe yours does too.
Abraham understood that journey. He believed God’s promises, yet there were moments when circumstances made trusting difficult. Still, God remained faithful. And He remains faithful to us. When the path ahead looks fierce, we don’t need to retreat. We need to press deeper into God’s Word. Jesus said, “If you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives” (John 8:32, TPT).
God’s plan isn’t merely about reaching a destination. It’s about the journey, the process, and the relationship of faith being built with every shaky step.
So release what He is asking you to release. Hold tightly to the One who promises never to let you go. Invite God to surprise you with a new direction. His plan may look nothing like yours.
And someday, you may discover it was the best plan ever.
