EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE
Written by our sister, Amanda Frick, who has battled addiction and is now free from her past and sober and clean for 5 years. She has joyfully accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior recently and is surrendering her life to His service, praise God.
TURNING THE TIDES
Praying John 7:18, “I give my life to Christ and pray to God to help me never to speak for my own glory but for Your glory only, God.” Amen.
Life has a remarkable way of turning the tides when you least expect it. Not long ago, I found myself in a cycle that felt impossible to break—a cycle of seeking validation in the arms of married men (because it seemed like that’s all I attracted), exchanging my worth for money and momentary connection. It was a path that led me further away from who I really was, clouding my self-esteem and pushing me into a shadowy corner where I felt trapped. Because at the end of the day, my children had to eat.
But something within me shifted. I craved more than fleeting encounters; I wanted a life filled with purpose, love, and integrity. Today, I stand on solid ground, embracing the beauty of commitment in a loving marriage. What once felt unattainable has become my reality.
Just an hour ago, I finished a DoorDash shift in the rain and made $40—no compromises, no sacrifices. The freedom that comes with earning my own income without resorting to a life of regret is exhilarating. It feels like I’ve finally found my way out of the storm and into the light.
Every dollar I earn now is a testament to my independence and resilience. Each time I step into the world, I’m reminded of how far I’ve come and how powerful it is to choose a different path, God’s path for me. I no longer feel the weight of shame; instead, I carry the joy of hard work and determination.
To any women who find themselves in a similar struggle—please know that you are not alone. There is help, and there is hope. Life can change in profound ways, and I encourage you to reach out, seek guidance, and dare to dream of a future where you are cherished for all that you are. God loves each of us for who He created us to be. Your journey may be difficult, but with every step forward, you pave the way for new beginnings.
Let my story be a reminder that transformation is possible. With God, ALL things are possible. The past doesn’t define you; it is merely a chapter that leads to an incredible new plot filled with love, commitment, and self-worth, all in the mighty arms of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
