EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many of us are aware of the single-parent homes there are in our world? It’s like we are seeing a fatherless generation rise up.
I know I lost my Dad to a massive heart attack in my teen years and it was a devastating time for me being without a father. I watched my younger brothers in elementary school suffer from losing their dad so very young. My mom had 4 of us very young children at home when he died, the youngest being my little brother who was only 5 at the time. For years I felt the loss, pain, and mourning of being fatherless. Even after my mom remarried, it was so difficult in itself. It was tormenting times with the loss.
Surviving without a parent at a young age can be devastating for any child. Society looks at it as a norm now. We have an issue in our world that needs the utmost attention.
Unfortunately, this fatherless generation is not all due to natural death causes, it’s because of selfishness and sin.
As Women World Leaders- we have a duty. We need to pray for our men to become men of honor. Men who will not neglect the parenting of the children they have brought into this world. It’s an epidemic of disastrous proportions. The abandonment placed upon children is something that needs our compassion and attention.
We can make a difference through prayer for anyone we know affected in this situation. You may be a single woman raising a child or children on your own. You may be a grandmother raising your grandchild. You may have close friends or family members that need your faithful prayers.
Ladies, please don’t turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to the need. These people need love and prayers, these children need love and prayers.
Have you tried to “move God” with your words of prayer with specific intention? We are taught to pray in Matthew 6:9 and we can pray with intention.
Ladies, God remembers what we pray to Him about in this situation of the fatherless. He remembers every word. We don’t have to pray in repetition,  just say a prayer over the one He brings to your mind and He’ll remember it..
Today, if we all pray for just one child who we know that is fatherless, just think about all the prayers that will reach God for this specific purpose.
Thank God He is our Father but we need to pray that these abandoned children see Jesus one day as their Father too. They need direction. Pray that their hearts would find the comfort of a Father who loves them completely.
Through prayer, we can move the heart of God on behalf of all of our loved ones who suffer from a fatherless generation. Please stop and pray today for the “one” you might know of.
