If God is in control, and He is, sometimes it’s hard to believe that “hurtful things” can happen to us.
Everyone has times of suffering, some to a greater extent than others. Unfortunately, it is unavoidable and inescapable at times and often undeserved.
Look at Job, the man in the Bible who lost everything. He could have blamed God, but he didn’t. Instead, he trusted Him. Job suffered greatly, but because of his attitude, God brought good out of it. No matter what difficult time we go through, there will be a time when life is good again. Through difficult situations, God can still have favor upon you.
Don’t give up in the midst of great loss, disappointment, or failure. You might miss the greatest miracle in your life. You might be learning through the storm you are in, preparing for something incredible in the future. Instead, praise God through it all. You will start to see the birth of something new and good. Watch and listen and praise God through it all! (Job 1:20-21)
