VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
God’s Promise
There are moments when God allows us to see something that changes everything. What began as a mission trip quickly became something far deeper. As we flew over the jungle, I saw beauty—lush trees stretching endlessly. But later, I saw something else.
Destruction.
Land stripped bare.
Creation damaged.
Beauty lost.
And then… something even harder.
The reality of human trafficking. Brokenness beyond what words can fully capture.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” —Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
In that moment, my heart broke.
But it was also the moment God began to reveal His purpose.
Not just to see…
But to respond.
To pray.
To act.
To trust Him in what felt overwhelming.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” —Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Even in the midst of darkness, He gave a reminder. A rainbow. A promise.
That He sees.
That He knows.
That He is still in control.
And that He is working—even when we don’t understand how.
