VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Be a Light—Without Getting Burned
Loving people isn’t always easy. Especially when the relationship is complicated… when past wounds surface, or when expectations go unmet. So how do we remain a light—without becoming consumed?
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies…” —Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
It begins with the heart.
With examining our motives.
With choosing forgiveness—even when it’s a process.
With asking God to help us see others through His eyes.
Because what we see… is not always the full story. God sees who they were created to be.
“Do not answer the foolish arguments of fools…” —Proverbs 26:4 (NLT)
There is wisdom in how we respond. We are not called to engage every argument or carry every burden. We are called to stand firm—to lead with truth, grace, and love.
To clothe ourselves in what reflects Him.
Humility.
Kindness.
Peace.
“Put on the full armor of God…” —Ephesians 6:13 (NIV)
And in doing so, we become something more than reactive. We become intentional.
A light that shines…
Without being consumed.
