EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” (1Chronicals 4:10)
What a prayer we can all learn from this scripture. Jabez prayed one of the most productive prayers in all of the Bible. The Bible says he was a man of honor. With this being said, it is why we should read this prayer and make it our own.
Jabez teaches us to pray over being productive in our lives as well as praying for power. Productivity comes when he asks God to enlarge his territory. Oh God, may You enlarge our territory for Women World Leaders. For our communities and our world.
What enthusiasm we see that by asking God’s hand to be with him, Jabez is wise enough to know that if God blessed him, then God’s hand can turn doorknobs that may never get opened, right? He can continue to open doors for us too as He so faithfully has. God has the power to do so, so yes, He can. He can open doors for you too sister of faith.
Jabez teaches us to pray for purity by asking God to “keep me from evil.” How often do we ask God to protect us from sin? We should ask Him this daily. Confess any known sin and ask God for protection.
This is such an amazing prayer and we can read and hear of it in many books that have been written about the prayer of Jabez.
