EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

How many times do we put on a fake smile and shove our fears below the surface? We walk from place to place, all while on the inside, we shudder to think others may see us as weak or powerless.

We know how hard the enemy is at work, taking every opportunity to trip us up again and again. We refuse to deal with our fears and insecurities because we can’t be vulnerable and open. So what do we do? We shove the fear down deep inside, resulting in a stomach ache of deception to ourselves.

We learn at a young age to cover it all up. Unfortunately throughout our lifetime, we are learning there is just not enough makeup to cover up all of our imperfections. When they resurface later in life, it’s pure difficulty.

Jesus has no desire to expose our nakedness to a world sneering and glaring. He hides us in the shadow of His wing. Read Psalm 91:1 (in fact, read the entire chapter about His protection over you). It will bring comfort to your soul. I read it continuously, and it comforts the depths of my soul, especially when I’m hurting.

God uncovers a lie so He can replace it with truth, not to harm us but to help us. Please remember He is a good God. He puts truth where there was once a lie and replaces it with His facts. We then gain credibility and clarity where there once was brokenness and confusion.

Psalm 51:6 says, “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.”

We serve a protective God. He understands when our fears rise up, and He will surely defend and deliver you. Pray with consistency to Him and look to Him with every fear that creeps in. He will carry you through it all.
