EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
When you see the goodness of the Lord, what comes to your mind? You may think as I do of God’s Grandness when you see the mountains and oceans, His Holiness, when you read His Word, His love when you remember Jesus on the cross and I can go on and on and on.
My heart sometimes can’t contain the goodness of God and I burst into tears. I know God is good, but sometimes I forget just how good He is.
King David said, ” You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing” (Psalm 16:2)
Well, to me that says it all, and I don’t ever want to be apart from Him. I know too well what that looked like in my past.
The Bible clearly reminds us that we need to “taste and see that the LORD is good…” (Psalm 34:8)
Please don’t doubt God ever, even in the tough times. Look around you and see His presence everywhere. Do you invite Him to sit and marvel with you at His goodness all around you? I do. And when I do, I feel His presence so strong all around me. It envelops me like a cozy, soft blanket. Our minds can’t comprehend the breadth and depth of it all.
Please remind yourself today of the goodness of God, however you think of Him. Look around you and see it in His creation and pause there for a moment or two in stillness with Him.
Even as I write this I can pause and reflect the goodness of the God who loves me in splendor, radiance, holiness, and all His glory. He is a good, good Father.
