Please do not neglect anyone in need. There is great joy in giving. Don’t pass them by. Please know you could be their angel sent from the Lord.
“Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.” (Psalm 41:1)
Read this verse over and over until you have a true understanding of what it is saying to you. Please read it again…
Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.
Do you believe this?
God tells us whoever “gives” to the poor will lack nothing.
Do not close your eyes, drive on by, or turn your head to someone in need. DON’T DO IT.
I often thought “oh, they will just use this money to buy drugs or cigarettes,” and I would pass them on by. But not anymore, I’m convicted to do what God says. Not to “neglect” anyone in need…God handles that part that I may not understand or know. He is responsible to convict their heart if they are not using it for the right purpose. We can not use it as an excuse to pass someone by. We can not assume anything. Allow God to make every determination, He knows the heart! We must just do our part to honor His Word and what He tells us to do.
“Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.” (Proverbs 28:27)
God can be trusted to keep His promises. Can we be trusted to honor what He says?
