EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Why do we care so much about what others might think of us? I believe that many times it’s because we forget who we are. We lose sight that we are the heirs of the most high God.
None of us want to be considered “less than,” so we are always defending ourselves and attempting to prove others wrong in order to make ourselves seem right or look better.
Many times, we get ahead of what God has asked us to do. What we need to do is find a safe place and put our vulnerable souls at the feet of Jesus, and seek His face.
Be assured God loves the story He is writing over your life. You don’t need the approval of others. Be content with your very own story and who He created you to be. His daughter who is a masterpiece creation.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6)
Please do not allow the pressures of this world to run you so ragged that you lose your joy in existing. Are you constantly battling for the approval of others? Does it make you question the fact that Jesus is making a difference in your life? If you are, it’s time to stop. Confess it to God and move with Him beyond seeking the approval of everyone else.
Be content with what God is speaking to you.
“I do not accept glory from human beings… How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?” ( John 5:41, 44)
Seek God alone and know the glory comes from Him. The deeper you sink in humility before God, the nearer He becomes to fulfilling every desire of your faith.
