EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
So many of us as believers, despite walking with God, have experienced rebellion in our life. I was one of them. Praise God I didn’t “die” in my rebellious state.
Pain, sickness, betrayal, and brokenness can all be brutal consequences when we fall into sin. We can feel the results of sin when it rears its ugliness in our lives. There are consequences to sin. My heart still bleeds with emotion for those who know better but rebel against what God is trying to show them.
How do we move beyond it all? How do we put an end to our hurting and stop the pain?
Our hope comes in Jesus, even when He doesn’t always fix what is broken in our life. There are times when we must live with the consequences of our mistakes from the past. I praise God that I surrendered my life before I died in my sin. My life is new in Him. I’m free to renew my mind in Jesus each day and then press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Maybe you don’t even realize you have a broken relationship with God. But Jesus created a way of forgiveness back to the Father. You just need to push the “start” button and get on the right path …
If you haven’t put your faith in Jesus as your rescuer, it’s not too late. Tell Him you’re sorry for your “rebellious state” and understand that He is the only One who can restore what is broken in your life. Give Him full entrance to your life because you can’t do it on your own or in your own power. Renew your mind in Him.
If we want to survive our storms of life, Jesus needs to be our anchor. He waits in the winds. He never leaves us. In God, we are secure and safe, covered by His love and bound with His TRUTH!
I can truly say I don’t ever want to be out of alignment with His Word. I pray there is no place else you’d rather be either.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”(1 John 1:9)
