EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Do we have to have everything perfect before we come to God? Oftentimes, thinking that is the case, it hinders us from communicating with our Father.

When we think about approaching God, it can be easy to feel like we need to have everything in order before we can come to Him. We think we need to have our lives perfectly put together, our hearts completely pure, and our minds free from doubt and worry. But the beautiful truth is that God wants us to come to Him just as we are.

In the Bible, we see time and time again that God meets people right where they are. He doesn’t require us to clean ourselves up first or try to earn His love. He asks us to come to Him with open hearts and a willingness to be transformed by His grace.

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” God knows that we are imperfect, broken, messy, and in need of His love and healing. He invites us to lay down our burdens at His feet and trust in His love and care for us.

When we come to God as we are, we open ourselves up for Him to transform us. He can take our messes and turn them into messages, our pain into purpose, and our brokenness into beauty. We don’t have to have it all figured out or have all the answers. We only need to come to Him with a willing body, humble heart and a desire to grow closer to Him.

So, let’s come to God just as we are. Let’s put down our insecurities, doubts, and fears at His feet and trust in His goodness and faithfulness. Let’s allow Him to work in and through us, transforming us into the people He has created us to be. We can rest in the knowledge that we are loved and accepted just as we are, flaws and all.

Just come as you are!
