Never underestimate how God will come through when we just simply listen and obey.
Abraham was on a journey to Moriah with his son after receiving what was difficult and discouraging instruction. The conflict within Abraham had to be intense! He chose to obey the Lord and follow through with his instructions all the way to almost sacrificing his only son.
He couldn’t see the full picture, and it didn’t make sense, yet he chose to obey the Lord.
In our obedience, we might not see an immediate movement or blessing. We may have to grind, keep moving forward and trust the Lord. But there will be a time when we lift our eyes and see the goodness and provision of the Lord in our circumstances.
Jehovah-Jireh is still the God who provides, and He is looking for those who will listen to His still, small voice and trust both in their actions and in their heart.
“And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.” (Genesis 22:13-14 )
