EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Dear God,
Many of us are burdened. So many of our sisters are hurting in their lives in various situations.
We join together to pray for those who are reading this prayer with hurt in their lives this very moment, we ask you, God, “would You grant them Mustard Seed Faith?”
What is that, they might ask;
You tell us in Hebrews 11:6 – “Faith” is a POWERFUL gift from You.
Your Son Jesus told His disciples that with just a tiny measure of faith the size of a mustard seed, they could move mountains. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Our friends have mountains in their life right now God!
Please show them what Mustard Seed Faith is.
You tell us about it twice in Your Word.
First, when the disciples were unable to drive out the demon from the little boy and they asked Jesus why they couldn’t do this when He previously had already given them authority to do this, His answer was:
“Because you have so little faith, I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain; move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:14-20.
And the second time; You tell us in Luke 17:6
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and planted in the sea and it will obey you.”
God, our friends, with their mountains and mulberry tree’s need You.
As You use this example of a tiny, small mustard seed; we can see You are showing us Your willingness to unleash POWER in those of our lives who will practice this true faith. We pray this faith for their lives at this very moment. We try to understand the nature of this kind of faith and that it is a gift from You, so we’re asking for this gift on their behalf.
The Mustard Seed You created God, is one of the tiniest of seeds one could see yet grows into a huge tree. It blows the mind of what You can do if we trust in You!
Please, if they ask You for this faith dear God, show them your LOVE. We ask if You’d please calm their fears, hear their cries and heal their bodies.
Please, Lord, we pray you comfort and rescue every one hurting and suffering this moment from the disaster in Miami, Florida. We have friends digging for loved ones. Our heart breaks with them. Lord, please
