Chasing Butterflies Into Heaven
God has a beautiful way of reminding us that He is near.
For me, that reminder came through butterflies.
After I gave my life to Christ, something changed inside me. It felt as though God had given me new eyes—eyes that could see His fingerprints everywhere. One day, while resting in my car, a brilliant blue butterfly landed on my window and remained there long enough for me to marvel at its beauty. That moment marked the beginning of a journey I call “chasing butterflies.”
During a season when I struggled with doubt and questioned whether God was truly speaking to me, He met me in an unforgettable way. I desperately wanted to believe, yet the voices of fear and insecurity whispered that I wasn’t special enough for God to notice.
Then, in one of the most personal moments of my life, God revealed His love in a way I could never explain away. Through a miraculous encounter involving a butterfly and a cross, He spoke directly to my heart and settled my doubts forever. From that day forward, butterflies became reminders of His faithfulness.
John 15:16 says, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you.”
Those words changed everything.
God chooses us. He pursues us. He reminds us that we belong to Him.
Whether your reminder comes through butterflies, answered prayers, or quiet moments in His presence, God delights in revealing Himself to His children.
He wants us to keep our eyes fixed on eternity, trusting Him through every season and every uncertainty.
As I continue chasing butterflies, I’m really chasing Him—until the day I finally reach my heavenly home and run into the loving arms of Jesus.
