VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
What Happens When You Stop Believing?
What happens when you’ve prayed for years and nothing seems to change? What happens when disappointment piles up and hope feels distant?
Most believers have wrestled with those questions, even if we’ve never spoken them out loud.
We know the promises of God. We can quote the verses. Yet sometimes those truths feel far away when we’re walking through pain, loss, uncertainty, or unanswered prayers.
I’ve been there.
In those moments, the enemy loves to whisper lies. He wants us to believe that God has forgotten us, that nothing will ever change, or that our faith doesn’t matter.
But Scripture tells a different story.
Jesus said, “Do not fear, only believe” (Mark 5:36).
The enemy may be persistent, but he is not victorious. Through Christ, we have authority. Luke 10:19 reminds us that Jesus has given us power over the enemy. And 1 John 4:4 declares that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
When faith feels weak, I’ve learned to fight back intentionally. I speak Scripture out loud. I worship. I fill my home with praise music. I share testimonies of God’s faithfulness. I serve others. I take prayer walks and thank God for His goodness, even before I see answers.
These practices don’t earn God’s presence—they help me remember it.
Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is making a way, even when we can’t yet see it.
So if you’ve stopped believing, don’t stay there. Lean into God. Speak His promises. Worship through the waiting.
Your current season is not the end of your story.
God is still writing it.
