As I start out in the morning, I often ponder the day, thinking how I will approach it and will I walk in the way God has called me to live? I may say to myself, “Am I ready to meet up to God’s calling on my life today?”
God gave to me, He gave to you and He gave to all of us – His Word. He gave His Word so that we would know the right way to live our lives. His Word is our GPS. It tells us ~life will work ~ if we follow it.
God’s Word each day gives us strength, direction, guidance, hope, encouragement, and faith. God’s Words are for our benefit. Why wouldn’t we start off our days with a heavy dose of these words?
God’s Word is a weapon of spiritual warfare we can use to protect ourselves (Ephesians 6:17). To me, that’s comfort, but in order to use this weapon, you and I must read His Word, think about it, speak it, and praise God for it daily. Don’t ignore it. By not doing the above, you ignore God and the help He offers us through it!
I feel so bad if I get busy in the morning, neglecting to read before I do anything else because before I know it, I’m ignoring my Lord and onto my own ways. NO! Not happening. I can’t ignore the deepest Love of my life and His direction for me each day! If I miss reading upon awakening, I definitely make the time to do it before the day’s end. Every day must contain “His Word”, nestled into my heart.
Look at God’s Word not only as a GPS for you with each day you face but read God’s “love letter” to you for your soul continuously. YOU are the ONE that He loves the most! You will better understand His heart of love for you when you read His Words for you each morning.
Let the river of God’s life, flow into yours through His Words- each and every day, no matter what. (Psalm 1:1-3)
