EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
It doesn’t matter how old our children are, young or old, we as mothers should be practicing praying and asking God for good role models or mentors within their current life. It’s a prayer worth praying and a reminder to include God in their lives.
Stop and think about “who” is influencing your children right this moment. Who is their center of influence? Who pours into their minds at all stages of their life this far? Is it worthy of time on your part as a parent to pray over adequate influencers?
Even our older adult kids can be influenced by someone else speaking hatred, anger, bitterness resentment of their own lives, into your kid’s lives. Are you thinking about this? I sure am.
I cry this to you: Fervent times of intercession need to arise when the gut-wrenching thoughts about those who could be speaking lies into our children come to our hearts and concern you and I.
Often times we may feel we don’t have control over it. You can have control with God’s help. Always! You don’t have to give up hope over your worries and concerns. One of the greatest influences in our children’s lives will be their friends and mentors or counselors if they are adults. Praying to God for the proper relationships matter!
How can we not pray over those who are filling that role, when you are absent or not around?
Lord,
I pray for my child right this moment. If I can’t be around them, I pray you bring Godly role models into their life. Those that will always speak the truth and never compromise their walk with You to gain my child’s acceptance. Please give me Holy Spirit discernment on how I can guide or influence their selection of friends near or far or in the silence of our relationship.
I pray you remove anyone who is NOT a godly influence from their life (friends, counselors, teachers, unhealthy blood relatives) and I ask it at this very moment dear Father. I pray a hedge of protection over my child right now. Help them to transform into who YOU want them to become. In Your likeness dear God.
Proverbs 19:20 says,
“He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.”
Please don’t let my child be talked to or destroyed by a fool. Enable them to find true wisdom in choosing their friends or even family members whom they confide in. Let it always be Godly council guided by You dear Lord. Let them be provided “safety and purity” in their counsel of choice, as we relinquish that control to You.
In Jesus Name~Amen.
This verse is wisdom for our adult children…
“Make no friendship with an angry person or you’ll embrace a snare in your soul…” Proverbs 22:14
I pray this over all of your children and mine.
I TRUST You, Lord.
