EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Instant Replay!
When we sin and fall short of God’s glory,  zeroing in on a specific area… the area of losing tempers, it can be a frustrating place to be for multiple reasons.
Trying to try to walk onward in the area of obedience to God, can become hindered if anger stands in your way.
How do we resolve this?
The enemy is prowling around trying to stop us continuously from serving God. He interferes whenever he can do so. We can not allow the issue that caused us to fester up in the first place, to cause sin. Sin will begin to propel its ugly way forward and push you aside. That is exactly what the enemy wants to happen. He wants to trap us and cause us to hold tight to the issue and continue to sin over and over in our minds as anger escalates.
Give the root cause to God.
Open your hands to Him to receive what He says. Take a step back. Where did the problem begin? Go back and find out when it started and then identify it there.
Let us each learn something from God when things happen in our disobedience. These times can often be trying times inside our thoughts because of blocked communion with God. We may replay the incident over and over before the resolve comes when we release the sin.
What we need to do is find Jesus in that moment of festering behavior before we go and sin again. Ask Him to teach us something that is profound in a  place of humility.
Sorrow and lamenting lead you into captivity by going over and over through “instant replay” of the sin. It only leads us to become a prisoner of the action.
We tend as humans to relish in the painful mistakes we’ve made. God’s word is clear:
“Humble yourselves,  therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. (1 Peter 5:6)
Ask God to humble you. Ask Him to forgive you for the sin that took place when you succumbed to it. If it was anger that took over, ask God to forgive your anger.
You may feel you were right in your situation which led you to sin in the first place but when there is uncertainty about it in your heart or aggravation deep inside that won’t stop, you are held in captivity. It’ll ruin your obedience to move forward.
Do you want to walk free? Do the next thing God tells you to do. Humble yourself and ask His forgiveness for whatever the sin, and then REST in Him.
Surrender your control to His, and allow Him to accomplish what He will in His proper time with the whole situation.
God is enough for you. He is enough that you can TRUST Him and He is enough to forgive you.  Ask Him to lead you and teach you through whatever it is that happened. Ask Him to forgive the precious time and energy you gave away trying to manage your own foolish efforts of a solution.
God wants to strengthen you in the deepest parts of your soul, the places where you struggle the most. You can be religious about all kinds of things but if you don’t behave as you believe, your testimony goes out the window.
We can all try harder to be obedient. We can pray to God to stay in His presence. We can ask Him for His teaching lesson within our situation and then what?
He shows us!
Walk with God and do not focus on the instant replay of the sin and fester up with angst all over again.
…Be in perfect peace because your mind is on Jesus Christ.
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” ( Isaiah 26:3) KJV
