EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Judging is wrong today in our world and it was wrong in Jesus’ day too.
We could look at many examples of why we shouldn’t cast judgment upon others.
Let’s look at a young woman who becomes a prostitute. Was this only because she was desperate beyond measure and saw no other choice in her life? Maybe she was a single mom and had no way to support her family and couldn’t bare to see her children go hungry. Maybe she was sold as a sex victim into slavery seeing no way out. Maybe her entire life had no self-worth from her upbringing and she was only using her body in a survival mode.
Until people meet Jesus in a personal way,  many lives don’t change. It’s often a road to get to Jesus. How can we love people and introduce them to a life of service to Jesus if they feel they are being judged by their life?
Jesus treated the woman at the well with dignity. He showed her respect.
Many people are in situations where they feel shame for what they are doing in their life but they hide it for whatever reasons. It’s up to us however we can to love them to Jesus. It’s up to us to show them true love no matter how long it takes for them to see with a “different” set of eyes.
Why not give them every opportunity to be a loved human being and not a ridiculed one? Why not allow them to serve beside us as we teach them with love and what love looks like, without making them fear they won’t ever measure up to where we are?
Jesus showed grace. He showed the woman at the well she had value. He was kind, He helped her.
When we show others that every life has value they may listen. We are all sinners saved by God’s grace and no one is above another. When we display this in our lives, people receive confidence and they become grateful. Look at the woman in the Bible who was so thankful for Jesus giving her a chance. She became devoted and worshipped Him. “She broke the jar and poured the most expensive perfume on him.” (Mark 14:3)
Remember,  a selfless act of love to another instead of pre-judgment over their life will allow for uncountable acts for our Lord if done in His Name!
Encourage people to Jesus, please don’t discourage them with your actions or words. Be willing to embrace the journey others may need to take in order for them to change. Help them. Guide them and love them. Don’t judge-love them to Jesus.
