EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many of us have had some of our character built by people who have wounded us? How can this be done you may ask? Only God.
One of the most disheartening things is when people we love turn on us. We can never justify the anxiety and anger or lies that come with the hurt, we can only go to the root and ask God to build our faith through it.
Prayer is a way to penetrate wounds of our souls and allow God to provide answers. God will set things in order, but we must have no doubt He will.
The test will be if we attach ourselves to God or to the pain. From my own experience, I can say these traumatic experiences not only reveal the hearts of others, but they also unmask our own.
Sometimes we must close doors to unhealthy relationships for our inward peace. It may not be for a lifetime but we allow God to determine when we are strong enough to apply wisdom to step into a once unhealthy relationship and then face them with the character God grows in us.
“All who rage against you will be ashamed and disgraced. All who contend with you will perish and disappear.” (Isaiah 41:11)
May we all display the grace needed and the forgiveness due in its time.
When we are free from any bitterness or resentment when we hear their name, we can know God has truly grown us to the place He wants us to be. A place we could love and forgive no matter what the cost was.
The other person may not be anywhere near where you are with your walk with God and that should be kept in your mind. Be consistent in working on yourself for God’s kingdom glory.
