EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Sometimes there are those days when one feels like there is way too much going on in their life…quickly if it happens to me, I’m reminded in God’s Word to slow myself down. And I do.
“God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.” (1 Cor. 14:33)
Scripture has words for each of us and words for us to listen to for instruction. Chaos is not productive in any of our lives. An outsider looking in at another lifestyle and catching a glimpse seeing a chaotic life brings awareness and possibly fear to be cautious. People tend to veer away from an exasperated woman, right?
I know I do.
I keep that in mind for myself if ever I tend to “verbalize” my exasperation out loud to someone else. Hold your tongue. Don’t spew your exasperating words to another. Take your issues to God.
God created the heavens and earth and put everything into the perfect places. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He holds all creation together. This is in God’s Word and something to pay attention to.
We must learn from God’s word that there is order in everything He does. We must follow that order and pause quickly when we feel the temperature rising and see things falling out of place. Give it to God quickly. Chaos is not of God. Do not bring it upon your life. Do not even speak it into being. Stop, then pause, and then give it over to God.
When we slow ourselves down intentionally, take a deep breath, and then re-read the scripture above, we can give that pause time to take effect, and God intervenes.
(1 Corinthians 14:33.)
Prayerfully give it to God and get yourself organized and move on. God is a God of order but also of peace. Amen.
