VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Resolutions
At the start of a new year, it’s easy to feel excited about resolutions.
We set goals. We make plans. We imagine all the ways our lives will improve. But often, just weeks later, those same resolutions begin to fade.
Why?
Because we try to do it in our own strength.
The key to lasting change is simple:
Invite God into it.
When we make resolutions without prayer, we are essentially telling God we don’t need His help. But the truth is, we need Him in every step.
God’s Word reminds us: “The word of God is alive and active.” — Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
His Word is powerful. It strengthens us. It equips us. It becomes our weapon when change feels difficult.
Breaking habits and building new ones is not easy. It’s a battle. But when we pray and stand on God’s Word, we are no longer fighting alone.
God steps into the battle with us.
If your resolutions are struggling, don’t give up. Start again—but this time, begin with Him.
Pray over your goals. Seek His direction. Allow His Word to guide your actions.
Because when God is part of the process, change becomes possible.
