EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
God never promised we would have a life that is free of difficulties on this earth. Storms that rise up out of nowhere can catch us off guard. Things happen in our human lives as we live in the reality of a fallen world.
“The Name of the Lord is a fortified tower. The righteous run to it and are safe.” ( Proverbs 18:10)
The righteous have been promised a place of protection. This makes me happy because it defines me and who I am in Christ. It brings great peace to my soul. Is this you? Are you counted among the righteous?
When adversity rears its head, we can run to God and hide in His presence. I’ve learned to make this a common practice to bring peace to my soul whenever I’m troubled.
There is a force so vast in its POWER that it triumphs over any problem, situation or darkness. Sometimes in the midst of turmoil it’s difficult to run into His arms, but if we’re honest, we only need to “speak” the Name of Jesus out loud and when we say His Name, the enemy has to flee!
Resist the enemy and He will flee. ( James 4:7)
In His glorious presence, we can breathe again. Try it. Speaking the Name of Jesus truly brings God’s presence to where you are. If you’re in darkness, light can not be there. Jesus is light. Say the name of your Savior out loud repeatedly, call upon Him, and rest there. Draw strength from His Name and at that very moment, feel Him come close to you.
He will protect you and cover you even when you don’t have the strength to pray. Just say His Name! Just speak it over and over to yourself or out loud and life’s darkest moments will turn around.
