EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Time with God is so very important. But how often do we rush through our time with God each day just to say we did it. I fell into that snare decades ago at a time when I felt pressured to do Bible devotions every day. My days were not pleasant. I was convicted in my heart when I saw a pattern of hurrying more often than not. My life felt the consequences.
Time with the Living God can not and should not be rushed. It is the most important portion of our days.
When we make time to press into the God of Creation, who created you and me, we can find a haven to rest upon throughout our days.
When we place our focused attention on God and His Word, we will be blessed, strengthened and God will equip us for what will be facing in the day ahead.
I feel for me that morning time with God alone is so very important. It’s a wise investment of my time when I’m totally alert and full of brainpower. I know my time should not be compromised by allowing the enemy room to distract me, therefore I rise early before any other distractions happen.
I can see that when one focuses on God for any length of time, God uses that time in the person’s day. I see evidence of that in so many people who are consistent in their time alone with God. Unhurried. Try it and see.
“So we no longer offer up a steady stream of blood sacrifices, but through Jesus, we will offer up to God a steady stream of praise sacrifices- these are “the lambs” we offer from our lips that celebrate his name! (Hebrews 13:15)
Spend time with God and offer Him your praise each day. It will be time invested well and you will see His blessings. He will guide you and direct your steps.
Vs 16
“We will show mercy to the poor and not miss an opportunity to do acts of kindness for others, for these are the true sacrifices that delight God’s heart.”
Our days need to revolve around God and not just about ourselves or our own needs. Give God His time.
Watch Him move in your life and watch Him use you to help others throughout your days and see the blessings rain down upon you.
