VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Miracles
The word miracle gets tossed around often in the Christian world. But what exactly is a miracle—and do we truly believe God still performs them? Because eventually, most of us find ourselves desperately needing one. Scripture is filled with miracles that reveal God’s extraordinary power.
Jesus walked on water. The dead were raised. Loaves and fish multiplied. A donkey spoke. The sick were healed. Nature itself responded to God’s authority.
Jeremiah 32:27 declares, “I am the Lord, the God of every person on the earth. Nothing is impossible for me” (NCV).
Perhaps today you’re facing a mountain you cannot move. Maybe circumstances feel impossible, resources are running out, or you simply cannot see a way forward. You can trust God. The God revealed throughout Scripture does not depend upon nature, human ability, finances, connections, or favorable circumstances to accomplish His purposes.
God can do anything.
And when life doesn’t make sense, we can seek His wisdom. James 1:5 promises that when we ask God for wisdom, He gives generously. Sometimes the miracle we’re waiting for begins by drawing closer to the One who understands our situation better than we do.
So pray.
Believe by faith.
Seek His wisdom.
Wait on Him.
And keep your eyes open.
Luke 1:37 reminds us, “No word from God will ever fail” (NIV). The God who performed miracles throughout Scripture is the same God who loves you today. He still has power over creation. He still hears prayer. He is still working.
And yes—
Miracles do happen.
