VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Marveling Modesty

For so many years, I believed my identity was found in what people could see.
What I wore.
How I looked.
Whether I measured up.

I chased perfection on the outside, hoping it would quiet the ache on the inside. But no amount of makeup, clothing, or approval could fill the void in my heart.
Because the truth is… I didn’t know Jesus yet.
I didn’t know who I was in Him.
But when I met Him, everything began to change.

Slowly—through grace, conviction, and love—He started to transform me from the inside out. He showed me that my worth was never meant to be defined by outward appearance, but by His love.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you… but set an example… in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” —1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

Now, I no longer strive to impress others or meet the world’s standard of beauty. I’m learning to wear what heaven has given me:
Compassion.
Kindness.
Truth.
Grace.

We are clothed in something far greater than anything this world can offer. “But the Lord said… My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” —2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

We don’t need to have it all together to be loved. We don’t need outward perfection to be accepted. True beauty begins within.
“You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within…” —1 Peter 3:4 (NLT)

And that kind of beauty? It never fades.
