VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Joy
Scripture shows us that joy is both an inward gladness in the Lord and an outward expression of that gladness. The more we rejoice, the more our joy increases—and the more we experience Him.
“I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” —John 15:11 (TPT)
That kind of joy doesn’t come from the world—it comes from closeness with God.
The truth is, when something feels “off” in our spirit—when joy is missing—it may be worth asking: What’s blocking it?
Sometimes, it’s unconfessed sin. Sometimes, it’s distance from God. And sometimes, it’s simply that we’ve been looking for fulfillment in things that were never meant to satisfy us.
“But if we freely admit our sins… He will be faithful to forgive us…” —1 John 1:9 (TPT)
God is our source of joy. And where He is present, joy is present.
So if your heart feels heavy today, don’t chase happiness—seek Him.
Because true joy isn’t found in circumstances… it’s found in His presence.
